Restriction on acquiring land is extended. The European Commission accepts an extension of Slovakia’s restrictions on the sale of agricultural and forest land to EU nationals until May 2014. EU-based companies can continue to purchase Slovak agricultural land without restriction if it is used for agricultural purposes.

PSA Peugeot Citroën brings new model to Trnava. French-based PSA Peugeot Citroën confirms an investment of over €120 million to produce a third car model at its Trnava plant, increasing the plant’s labour force by almost 900 to about 3,900. The plant will start production of the Peugeot 208 in November, a third model to accompany the Peugeot 207 and Citroen C3 Picasso that are already built in Trnava.
