COMMERCIAL banks in Slovakia closed the first nine months of this year with an aggregate after-tax profit of Sk11.972 billion, according to international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
Net interest income was Sk24.727 billion, while net income from fees and commissions was Sk8.258 billion.
The banks' combined total assets stood at Sk1.393 trillion at the end of September, according to information provided by the National Bank of Slovakia (NBS).
Client loans totaled Sk581 billion, while client deposits accounted for Sk781 billion.
At the end of September, 17 commercial banks and 7 branches of foreign banks were active on the Slovak banking market.
