IMPERIAL Tobacco Slovakia was named the best employer in Slovakia followed by AstraZeneca AB pharmaceutical company and Microsoft Slovakia. The results of the sixth ‘Best Slovak Employers’ programme for 2009-2010 were announced in late April.
“We are also pleased that this year confirmed that any company regardless of its sector of operation, its ownership structure or its size can be among the best employers,” Eugénia Sochorovská, project manager of the study said, as cited by the SITA newswire.
Rounding out the top ten companies were Roche Slovensko, Sandoz, Grupo Antolin Bratislava, Medeko Cast, Allianz-Slovenská Poisťovňa, Crown Packaging Slovakia and Embraco Slovakia. Hewitt Associates, an HR consultancy company, annually organises the process for choosing the best employers. It uses as its criteria the level of motivation of employees and a consensus of opinion between managers and employees.
