It will take over Jazdomat, the current Slovak No. 1 in this field, with this structure, the Hospodárske Noviny daily wrote on January 14.

Unlike the taxi-type applications where the client determines the destination after usually a shorter drive, BlaBlaCar focuses on longer and pre-planned routes, the TASR newswire wrote.

This startup connects drivers with free seats in cars when travelling for longer distances with passengers who need to take this route, too, to share travel costs. Thus, it is a type of inter-city long-distance transport and sharing costs, it is not a profit-making activity for drivers, BlaBlaCar for Slovakia and the Czech Republic, Pavel Prouza, told the TASR newswire.

From January 14 on, users of the Slovak website Jazdomat.sk and Czech Jízdomat.cz acquire the possibility to transfer the history to the BlaBlaCar website, including all references.
