Bratislava airport and SkyEurope sign new contract

THE LOW-COST airline SkyEurope Airlines and M. R. Štefánik Bratislava Airport signed a new agreement on provision of services on March 17. The contract is based on the present relationship between the airport and what is the biggest local carrier, defining its terms and conditions for 2008 and 2009, according to information provided to the SITA newswire by airport spokeswoman Dana Madunická.

Marking the two-year contract Karol Biermann, the airport’s director-general and chairman of its board of directors, said that he values the partnership with the strongest local carrier at Bratislava airport. He added that they have agreed on future planned cooperation and he believes that SkyEurope will soon bring new connections and destinations to the capital.

Jason Bitter, SkyEurope Airlines’ director-general, said that he sees this agreement as the first step towards a long-term agreement which will enable the future development of operations in Bratislava.
