THE 2006 draft state budget will be high on the agenda at the 52nd session of the Slovak parliament that Speaker Pavol Hrušovský convened for December 6, the SITA news agency reported.

In its blueprint the government projects state budget revenues at Sk268.2 billion (€7.08 billion), of which Sk27.9 billion (€740 million) should come from the EU budget funds. State budget expenditures are projected at Sk330.1 billion (€8.71 billion).

Before taking a final vote on the budget, MPs have to decide on several related laws, including the planned reduction of the state bonus for housing construction schemes next year from the current Sk2,500 (€66) to Sk2,000 (€17.1 million).

The government also submitted a revision to the law on court fees, which should bring in Sk200 to 250 million (€5.9 to 6.6 million) extra.
