THE BURGER King chain of fast food restaurants based in the US and operating worldwide will open its first facility in Slovakia at the end of March 2010 at the Eurovea complex along the Danube River, the web portal aktualne.sk wrote on February 20.
Burger King has been considering coming to Slovakia for some time but in summer 2009 its plans for expansion were delayed due to an unclear future timeframe, the ČTK newswire reported.
The Czech fast food chain Paneria will also open in the Eurovea complex. There are already several global fast food chains in Slovakia such as MacDonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pizza Hut, and Subway.
