The most significant fall in the index was in the category of the functioning of the political system, with PAS attributing this to the collapse of the Radičová government in October 2011 and the inability of many ministries to pursue reforms, SITA wrote.

The second largest fall in the index, based on the responses of entrepreneurs clustered within PAS, were in the state’s economic performance and access to state support. The third largest drop was recorded in enforceability of laws and the functioning of the judicial system.

The survey responses did find that the businesspeople thought that employment-related legislation had improved due to the changes in the Labour Code that took effect in September last year.
