Prime Minister Mikuláš Dzurinda agreed to meet TIS representatives every second month, and to invite the corruption watchdogs to monitor important tenders. The agency's first assignment will be a tender for the deblocation of the Russian debt to Slovakia, while its second job should be vetting the sale of the state's stake in Globtel GSM.

TIS has already overseen one tender - the infamous selection of an advisor on the sale of state telecom monopoly Slovenské Telekomunikácie (ST), which cost Telecom Minister Gabriel Palacka his job.

Dzurinda also said that TIS should also act as a legislative consultant, criticising such law drafts as the Public Procurement bill and the Access to Information draft.
