THE SLOVAK government's advisor on the sale of electricity producer SE has submitted recommendations for a short list of potential buyers.
"We are ready to present the document at the first session [of the privatisation commission], which has yet to be scheduled," said Peter Mika from the PriceWaterhouseCoopers consultancy that prepared the recommendations.
While declining to comment on the details, PriceWaterhouseCoopers officials have in the past suggested reducing the current number of eight bidders to between four and six.
SE remains one of the last key state-owned industries in Slovakia not yet privatised.
The final decision on the sale will be made by Economy Minister Robert Nemcsics, who was expected to form a privatisation commission shortly before The Slovak Spectator went to press.
