It can show passengers – after a route has been set – possible alternatives for tickets and then calculate their prices.
The integrated transport system combines city transport in Bratislava, buses for commuters via Slovak Lines company and trains of the rail carrier Železničná Spoločnosť Slovensko (ZSSK), with the use of a single ticket for the whole route. The third phase of the integrated transport system was launched last November.
The calculator, which can help people get oriented to various available tickets, can be found on the idsbk.sk website, the project’s spokeswoman Eva Kukurová informed the SITA newswire. For the future, the calculator is also planned as an app for mobile phones.
The calculator, after all data has been set, calculates the fare for the shortest logical route and it also shows the price of the ticket valid for the whole IDS BK network.
