“ČEZ started offering gas to corporate clients in the Czech Republic at the end of last year and, based on a very positive response, we are preparing to enter the gas market also in Slovakia. ČEZ wants to extend the offer of natural gas to Slovakia,” said the company’s spokesperson, Eva Nováková, as quoted by SITA.

ČEZ is now building the necessary infrastructure in Slovakia and setting up a team of domestic natural gas specialists.

Currently, natural gas suppliers to final consumers in Slovakia include SPP, RWE Gas Slovensko, and Shell. The company Vermex Energo, connected with Russia's Gazprom, has also been preparing to enter the Slovak market.
