JAC Motors regional director David Wang confirmed that he is in talks with Slovak officials about terms and conditions. He said that he is undaunted by competition in Slovakia from PSA-Peugeot Citroen, KIA Motors and Volkswagen, which have invested in automobile production facilities in western Slovakia.

“Like all Chinese carmakers heading for the European marketplace, our company will set off in that direction as well,” he said on May 4, as reported by the TASR newswire.
