Chirana output down by 10%

Chirana-Prema Inc., a medical equipment producer located in Stará Turá, lost 24.1 million Sk in the first half of this year, on sales totalling 785.4 million (200 million Sk lower than planned) and on revenues worth 882.6 million Sk. The company's output declined 10 percent , with the loss being attributed to low sales, as well as to an increase in costs. According to Juraj Borovský, the company's director, Chirana-Prema is not succeeding in reversing the negative developments. Negotiations on laying off 100 people are currently underway.
