The idea to construct the cycling route along the Jizera River in the northern part of the Czech Republic has been around for about 10 years old and tangible works started in 2003. Total costs of the 160 kilometre cycling route are estimated at hundreds of millions of Czech crowns. It will be part of the network of Greenways bicycle routes in the Czech Republic and neighbouring countries.
