DANUBE Wings, a scheduled and charter airline company headquartered in Bratislava, announced plans to open new routes on July 28.
“We applied to the authorities to license us to operate routes Poprad-Kiev, Poprad-Warsaw, Košice-Milan and Bratislava-Brussels. In [the coming] season we want to beef up the Poprad-Basel route,” said Arpád Agócs, commercial director at Danube Wings, as quoted by the TASR newswire.
In the first half of 2009 the carrier flew 1,080 flights involving more than 20,000 passengers. In June the airline added a third aircraft to its fleet and was admitted to the European Regions Airline Association (ERRA).
