THE DEFENCE Ministry’s priorities will require nearly €66 million more than it originally sought for its 2013 budget, the TASR newswire reported.
Ensuring that the military’s air and security equipment complies with current standards requires an additional €39.7 million, the most costly of the ministry’s three announced priorities, TASR wrote.
The ministry is also requesting nearly €17.8 million to update its radio equipment.
The remaining €9 million would be used by the Slovak Armed Forces for tasks connected to crisis management.
