THE CZECH company EEZ will submit an offer for the purchase of a 66 percent stake in the Slovak power producer Slovenské elektrárne (SE), the state run news agency TASR wrote.
"Our company will proceed independently," EEZ chief executive Martin Roman said.
EEZ is one of five firms that had a strong interest in SE even before the July 21 deadline for submitting final offers for the stake.
The other firms include Russian RAO UES, Italian Enel, German E.ON, and Austrian Verbund. RAO UES has indicated that it would bid in a consortium of firms.
