Embraco launches new lines

NEW assembly lines in the Embraco Slovakia plant in Spišská Nová Ves will start operating in March.

NEW assembly lines in the Embraco Slovakia plant in Spišská Nová Ves will start operating in March.

“We will begin testing individual assembly lines on March 15 and will gradually increase output to nominal capacity,” Katarína Držíková of Embraco Slovakia told the SITA newswire.

The new assembly lines will employ up to 300 workers who will be gradually hired as production grows.

The company invested €13.5 million in the new assembly lines. The plant produces 3rd generation EM compressors which the company said are the most efficient products in their category. The compressors are primarily used in refrigeration and air conditioning units.

Embraco Slovakia is part a global company with its headquarters in Brazil that directly employs about 9,600 people in Brazil, China, Italy, Slovakia, the United States and Mexico.
