THE NATIONAL Association of Employers (RÚZ) is criticising the Sociálna Poisťovňa social security provider for its request to spend more on its administration.
Sociálna Poisťovňa wants to allocate as much as 3.5 percent of the social insurance premiums it collects to its administrative fund to cover its operating costs, the SITA newswire wrote. Currently it can spend 2.9 percent of the collected premiums.
The employers consider the proposal unjustified and irresponsible, especially considering the citizens who will have to pay higher social insurance contributions.
RÚZ vice-president Jozef Špirko says under this proposal, citizens and companies would not only finance pensions in the first pay-as-you-go pension pillar, but also the bureaucratic apparatus of Sociálna Poisťovňa.
"This is a scandalous and absurd proposal, especially considering the fact that the government is simultaneously proposing to decrease the administrative fund of health insurance companies from four percent to three percent," Špirko said.
