ESET is the 11th fastest growing technology company in the central European region, which covers 10 countries including fast-developing ones in the Balkan region. According to this year’s ranking, the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Central Europe, Eset recorded 951-percent growth in the past five years and is the fastest growing technology firm in Slovakia, the company wrote in a press release.
The ceremony to announce the results took place in Bratislava in late October.
On the occasion of Eset being awarded the Slovak title, CEO Miroslav Trnka thanked the company’s dedicated staff and partners and added: "I see the positioning of Eset among the fastest growing technology firms as being a result of a combination of the excellent work of its employees in developing high-performing and award-winning security software and the continual growth of this industry, which leads to our gaining the trust of more customers across households and corporations in Eset’s products."
Deloitte also announced results in a newly-established ‘Big 5’ category, recognising companies with annual turnover exceeding €25 million.
Eset placed second in this category, followed by another Slovak company, the info-communication integrator and IT services provider Soitron.
Soitron was also the second fastest growing Slovak technology company, with 880-percent growth over five years and held twelfth position in the overall top 50.
The third Slovak company by growth was Millennium 000, with 670-percent growth over five years, placing it in 19th spot overall. MadNet was the final Slovak company to place in the chart. Its 361-percent growth meant it was placed 39th.
In another category, ‘Rising Stars’, in which young companies with great potential were nominated, Sygic was the sole Slovak representative, in sixth place.
