SLOVAKIA'S foreign trade benefited from the country's integration into the European Union (EU), according to a report evaluating the implementation of the EU common market policy in Slovakia.
"The free market for Slovak exporters has unambiguously widened within Europe space, as well as in relation to third markets, where the EU has better access than Slovakia had before it joined the EU," reads the report prepared by the Economy Ministry.
The report states that Slovakia also took on a high-quality system of protecting its markets by entering the EU. Improvement of trade conditions for producers and exporters and guarantees of their stability are among the things that attract foreign direct investments to Slovakia.
