JAROSLAV Mach, head of the Slovak Airport Administration Authority (SSL), thinks that Slovak airports will get busier after the country enters the EU in May 2004.
According to SSL statistics, Slovakia's five international airports transported a total of 700,000 passengers last year, a 27 percent increase over the previous year's data.
The Bratislava airport of Milan Rastislav Štefánik remains the busiest Slovak airport, with 70 percent of all passengers flying from the country's capital.
The second busiest was Košice airport, which transported 27 percent of the year's passengers.
The SSL is holding talks with airlines about new flight routes to varous destinations.
