Incumbent Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer) will temporarily oversee the Finance Ministry.
The current minister, Peter Kažimír (Smer), who was appointed new governor of the National Bank of Slovakia, the country’s central bank, will probably submit his resignation on April 11.

“I will thank minister Kažimír on Thursday and will temporarily take over the ministry until all questions are settled,” Pellegrini said during a discussion at the Hospodárske Noviny Club. “After this happens, I will give the ministry over to a new minister.”
Pellegrini does not think a new person will be able to run the department in the next few weeks, including current pressures, as reported by the Sme daily.
It is not clear who will replace Kažimír, who is leaving upon his own request. Potential replacements include ex-head of the Financial Administration František Imrecze, and chair of the parliamentary financial committee Ladislav Kamenický, Sme wrote.
