The state privatization agency Fund for National Property (FNM) submitted on April 21 its annual report for 1996 to the panel's board and to parliament. In 1996, the report states, the FNM carried out 364 privatization decisions, of which 209 were direct sales of property and 155 were direct sales of shares. The total purchase price in these sales was 16.4 billion Sk, while the book value of the property and shares sold amounted to 43.5 billion Sk. The FNM also entered a 23 privatization contracts based on a tender, in which it sold property with a book value of 1.3 billion Sk for 492.5 million Sk.
