Summit, a subsidiary of Summit Development Brussels, itself part of the Japanese group Sumitomo Corporation, initially plans to sell around 1,500 Ford cars and utility vehicles annually on the Slovak market. The company also plans to double its workforce to 60 with the completion of the service centre.

Summit Development currently has automotive outlets in six European countries and sells around 13,000 cars per year. In Slovakia, Summit will have the same marketing and distribution conditions as Ford dealers in other countries, said head of Ford EDM Budapest Edgar Pees.
