The average price of the highest selling 95 Natural petrol will be slightly below €1.270 per litre and the average price of diesel will fall below €1.120 per litre.

The reason for the falling prices is the continuing decline in crude oil and motor fuel prices on world markets. The price of crude oil has dropped by about $20 per barrel over the last three weeks.

The natankuj.sk portal estimates that unless the debt crisis in Europe is resolved soon, prices will continue to fall in the coming weeks. The drop in petrol prices will be the first this year.

Diesel prices have already fallen twice. Following the current decrease, motor fuel prices in Slovakia will be at the same level as they were in October 2008, when they dropped in connection with the economic crisis.
