For now the university offers bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes at its Faculty of International Business, Faculty of Tourism and Faculty of Media and Cultural Studies. It also plans in the future to cooperate with the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main in Germany.

School representatives informed in September that the university has signed contracts with more than 30 German-speaking teachers from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and northern Italy. For those interested who do not speak German at the required level, the university offers language training.

Education Minister Dušan Čaplovic, who was initially reluctant to permit any new private schools in Slovakia, finally allowed the launch of Goethe Uni, pointing to its links to the university in Germany.

Earlier this year the cabinet did not allow the launch of the business- and economics-focused Vysoká Škola Ekonómie a Podnikania, arguing that it would be only a quantitative extension of already existing programmes. It also turned down the application of the Vysoká Škola Filmovej Tvorby a Multimédií (High School of Film-making and Multimedia).
