Hard currency reserves stabilized

Slovakia's total hard currency reserves were $5.043 billion as of June 11, the NBS reported. They were $641.9 million lower compared to the end of 1996, but $190.8 million higher than a week ago. The NBS's own reserves were $2.929 billion, which is $543.8 million less compared to the end of 1996 and $185.5 million higher than a week ago. The combined reserves of commercial banks were $2.114 billion, 98 million less compared to the end of 1996 and 4.3 million higher than a week ago.
