IMF predicts 2.4-percent GDP growth

SLOVAKIA’S economy will grow by only 2.4 percent this year, according to a prognosis published by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as part of its latest global economic outlook. Last year GDP grew by 3.3 percent, the SITA newswire reported.

The country’s economic growth should accelerate to 3.1 percent in 2013. The IMF expects growth in consumer prices to slow from last year’s 4.1 percent to 3.8 percent this year and to 2.3 percent in 2013.
