As of January 9, clients of all banks in Slovakia can use instant payment services, reports the Živé.sk website, as the 365.bank and Poštová Banka were the last to start providing it.

However, not all banks provide the service at the same time, with some saying that it will be available on the last possible day allowed by EU regulation concerning instant payments, which allow for sending and receiving credit transfers in seconds no matter the time of day and even on weekends. They are now considered a standard service in banks.
