A special shareholders meeting of the Slovak investment agency Sario August 28 saw the election of a new board of directors and supervisory board, shareholders electing Miroslav Malik as the new head of the board of directors.
Malik currently works as director general of the European Integration section at the Economy Ministry. However, it is unsure if Malik's occupation of the post will be permanent.
Alan Sitár stepped down as head of the investment agency at the beginning of august, citing an inability to work with the Economy Ministry. Only a day before his decision government ministers met and decided to change Sario's shareholder structure.
Sario's shareholders will now consist of the Ministry of Finance, the Economy Ministry, and the Government Office.
