KOŠICE-based construction company, Inžinierske stavby (IS) reported construction output of Sk2.322 billion (€60 million) for 2004, up Sk554 million (€14.52 million) from a year ago.
The company's total output represented Sk4 billion (€100 million) last year while pre-tax profit reached Sk19.2 million (€0.5 million).
The factors that most influenced the company's results were the winter weather and construction investors financing abilities.
The Košice firm's main construction activities last year were in highways. In 2005 the company will start working on new contracts, including a crude-oil reservoir at Budkovce, a project to supply drinking water and a sewage network in the Zemplín region. It will also provide drinking water and sewage pipelines for Hyundai/Kia near Žilina.
