Slovak pensioners are guaranteed a minimum pension as of July 1. Under the new rules, the social security provider Sociálna Poisťovňa pays the minimum pension to everyone who has worked and paid old-age pension insurance for at least 30 years and reached the retirement age. The sum for them amounts to 136 percent of the subsistence level, which is €269.50 a month this year.
Bratislava-based company AeroMobil R&D which is developing a flying car was granted investment assistance of €6 million from the state for research and development activities. AeroMobil R&D should invest €8 million.
The gas transmission company Eustream launched commercial operation of the Slovakia-Hungary Interconnector. The bidirectional gas pipeline is 113 kilometres long, out of which 94 kilometres are in Hungary and 19 kilometres are in Slovakia. It connects the high-pressure system located at Veľké Zlievce village with the Hungarian transmission network near the village of Vecsés in the suburbs of Budapest.
