The trade unions of the technology giant submitted 30 proposals related to the social benefits of employees. Severance pay for employees, allowances for the education of the children of employed parents, increased meal allowances, special health examinations, the adjustment of working hours for parents returning from parental leave and many other benefits will be addressed.
"We believe that our proposals will bring benefits not only to our colleagues, but to the company as such," said Daniel Andráško, co-founder of the trade union Technologies Unions Slovakia.
According to Andráško, the goal of the unions is to get as close as possible to the European standards of the company from the employee perspective. Even today, employees in the same positions within the company in China or India, for example, have better benefits when it comes to severance pay. “Dell is one of the technology leaders worldwide, and we at Technologies Unions Slovakia believe that it can soon become a leader in modern care for its employees in Slovakia and will be an inspiration for other companies,” said Daniel Andráško.
What the unions at DELL propose:
Better conditions for severance pay after working for 3 or more years
More flexible working hours for parents with children
Paid leave (35% of salary) with a guarantee of maintaining a job after working 10 or more years for up to 6 months
Extended comprehensive preventive health examination after reaching the age of 40 years after working 3 or more years
