Largest private hospital opens in Púchov

Zdravie Inc. the largest private hospital in Slovakia, opened in April in Púchov. It was built with investments of 220 million Sk ($7.3 million). The winner of a bid to supply diagnostic equipment worth 66 million Sk was Chirana Piešťany. Zdravie was established in January 1996 by the city of Púchov (69 percent stake), and the companies Matador Púchov (29 percent) and Makyta Púchov (2 percent). The hospital has a total capacity of 66 beds and 34 examination rooms.
