The firm, with more than 100 years of experience, has been operating here since 1995 and thanks to a new greenfield investment worth more than €10 million, it will create about 100 jobs in its new plant.
A new hi-tech laundry service in Bratislava, with a total area of 3,600 square metres and capacity of 32 tonnes of laundry a day, will equal more than 6,400 washing machines in households.
The Salesianer Miettex firm was founded in 1916 by the grandmother of current owner, Thomas Krautschneider. The company, still owned by the family, is a multi-national corporation employing more than 2,150 people.
Daily, it supplies around 25,000 consumers across Europe with 360 tonnes of clean textiles. The main competence is a complex offer of service leasing of textiles, sanitary products and cleaning mats, the TASR newswire wrote.
Apart from services and products, the offer includes also a sophisticated concept of logistics.
The lease of work and protective clothing includes delivery of laundry, qualified disinfection cleaning, complex automated finalisation, effective maintenance, storage, free exchange after common wear and tear, marking work clothing with names of the people wearing them, as well as delivering and shopping. This enables customers to focus on their own operations and boosts company allegiance of employees.
Textiles are delivered at the right time, in the right numbers, to the right location: work clothing, bed and bathroom textiles for hotels, table cloths for gastronomic services, hospital textiles, clothes and sterile surgery textiles, among others.
The current European Textile Service Association (ETSA) study finds that cleaning work clothes in households burdens the environment more than industrial washing, with negative aspects being thr wrong dosage of detergents, not using the capacity of a washing machine, non-optimal water consumption, as well as the time-consuming character of private washing.
