Leoni Slowakia Ltd., TrenŹianska Teplá (100 percent owned by German Leonische Drahwerke), started a production of wires in March, 1992, with thirty people. This year, the number of its employees will reach 1,600, their average monthly salary 7,500 Sk and output will total 1.4 billion Sk. On November 28, the company began operations of a new plant for manufacturing of conductors for Philips shavers, IBM computers and phone and other wires. It exports 99 percent of its output.
