The website received the prize at the gala event during the international ITAPA conference, which
focuses on the so-called informatisation of society in Slovakia, Tomáš Mácha, from the non-profit organisation 4people, which manages the ĽudiaĽuďom.sk portal, told the SITA newswire in mid November. The jury also acknowledged ĽudiaĽuďom.sk for enabling donors to know precisely which activities and people they support and for giving a precise account of the gifts it has received.

ĽudiaĽuďom.sk allows people in need, non-profit organisations, special interest and faith groups, schools and municipalities to register a campaign for their support. Donors can support the campaigns directly at the portal through internet banking or with a credit card. The entire process is done online and is monitored by the public. Charitable giving via ĽudiaĽuďom.sk is not only transparent, but also targeted. All services at the portal are free of charge, the portal writes.

The portal also enables the holding of electronic charity auctions. Each e-auction is linked to a specific campaign, and the entire amount paid by an auctioneer goes toward a particular campaign. This project helps beneficiaries address a wider donor community.

ĽudiaĽuďom.sk has already won several awards, including the IT Project of the Year 2012 and the Best Internet Project in the To Be Seen competition, organised by the Slovak Donors Forum and Czech Donors Forum.
