UK zinc alloy producer Mazak Limitd started operations in the eastern Slovak city of Košice, having invested €1 million (Sk40 million) in the new plant.
According to the Pravda daily, Mazak Limited employs 20 people in its new unit. The company situated its Košice operation in the area belonging to U.S. Steel Košice, which is one of its customers.
Mazak wants to export most of its alloys from Košice to neighbouring states, and to Turkey and China.
