The ministry stated that neither it nor the European Union institution favour the plan tailored by former transport minister Ľubomír Vážny. Current ministry officials prefer three separate companies, saying this enables more transparent funding and better conditions for open competition which will increase quality demands and reduce costs, according to Ľubomír Tuchscher, the director of the Transport Ministry’s PR department.
