The new investment will create over 1,200 new jobs. An agreement confirming Neumann's investment plan was signed on December 9.

The construction of the so-called European Integrated Spinal Centre should be completed within three and a half years. It will be the only one of its kind in Europe, according to Peter Guzmický, the mayor of Ivánka pri Nitre.

He expects that as many as 90 percent of the centre's clients will be foreigners.
