THE CABINET decided that companies interested in purchasing a stake in the Slovak power generator Slovenské elektrárne (SE) should submit their binding offers by July 21, rather than June 18 as originally planned.
The state-run news agency TASR wrote that the delay was an effort to win time for the government to evaluate possible alternative offers for the use of SE's capacities.
Economy Minister Pavol Rusko said it was possible that the state would trade the available SE stake for shares in the power producer's new investor.
