New flats falling behind schedule

Slovakia managed to halt last year a decline in the number of completed apartments, according to targets set by the government. Nonetheless, the number of new flats in 1996 did not reach the volume set by the State Apartment Policy, which sets a target of 10,000-12,000 flats per year. Here's a breakdown of the number of finished apartments since 1993:
