McDonald's opened its eighth fast food restaurant in Slovakia on July 17, and its first in the eastern Slovak metropolis of Košice. In the first ten hours the restaurant was open, the staff served over 3,000 customers. The company spent 46 million Slovak crowns to build this two-floor restaurant with 140 seats, 120 parking places (30 places for a Drive-Thru service), and 80 employees.
McDonald's has five fast food restaurants in Bratislava, as well as one in Trnava and one in Banská Bystrica. McDonald's Slovakia was established in 1995.
