A new real estate project will arise in Bratislava's downtown. The complex, which will house the new headquarters of the energy company Západoslovenská energetika (ZSE) and a new residential building as well, was presented by the developer company Immocap.
Its form emerged from an architectural tender, the winner of which was the Chybik+Kristof studio.
The project will also include a former locksmith's workshop, one of the few preserved buildings from the industrial past of the area, today known as the Design Factory. According to the new project, this structure is to be integrated into the planned complex.
First step forward in years
The new Immocap project will be constructed in the Mlynské Nivy locality, Bottova Street, on the land owned by ZSE. Originally, the project was under discussion already in 2019.

At the time, the Čierne Diery (Black Holes) civic association dedicated to preserving forgotten architectural monuments in Slovakia, published information that ZSE wanted to demolish the workshop and build a new headquarters in its place. This information led to a wave of criticism. In the end, the plans remained on paper.
