A NEW factory to be built in southern the Slovak town of Komárno will employ around 300 people.
The Sk150 million (€3.8 million) investment by SLK Elektro company will be funded by German investor FEAG, the TASR news agency wrote.
SLK Elektro, a Slovak company, produces switchboards and operating consoles for maritime and industrial clients. The company, employing 95 people, sells about a third of its products in Slovakia and exports the rest to foreign markets, especially Germany.
Last year's turnover reached as much as Sk140 million (€3.5 million). FEAG, a subsidiary of Siemens, entered SLK Elektro in 2003 and currently owns 80 percent of the company.
The new factory's operations will start as of 2006, according to Peter Skala from SLK Elektro.
