BY NEXT summer a new tourism-oriented information portal should be helping visitors to the Carpathian regions of Poland and Slovakia in finding natural, historical and cultural attractions. The portal called Karpatská Mapa Možností (Carpathian Map of Possibilities) will be
sponsored by the Polish SOKOL cultural centre in Nowy Sacz and by Slovakia’s Prešov Region. Each sponsor will cover 15 percent of the cost and the remaining 70 percent will be funded by an EU programme supporting cross-border cooperation between Poland and Slovakia, the TASR newswire reported.
The piece is part of the Visegrad Countries - Facing New Challenges, prepared by The Slovak Spectator with the support of the International Visegrad Fund. For more information on cooperation between the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia please see the following document.
