SE operates four nuclear reactors, two in Jaslovské Bohunice and two in Mochovce. Two more are now under construction in Mochovce.

SE generated 22.84 TWh of electricity in 2013, up 2 percent compared with the previous year. The nuclear power stations generated the biggest portion, 15.72 TWh.

The strong performance of Slovak nuclear power plants was also confirmed by the journal Nuclear Engineering International. In its assessment of 12 months’ performance of international nuclear power plants published in June 2013, the journal marked pressurised water reactors operated by Slovenské Elektrárne as the best in the class based on their Load Factor, which in 2013 reached 92.3 percent, SE wrote on its website.
