The unemployment rate in Slovakia was 13.9% at the end of October, an increase of 0.14% over September. The actual reported number of unemployed people increased by 1,882 to 387,653 in October, said the NationalLabour Office on November 20.
As usual, the eastern Rimavská Sobota region reported the highest unemployment rate (30.65%), while Bratislava showed the best results of between 3.5 and 4%. Nationally, for every free job there were 31 registered jobless people in October.
